The planned new building will be significantly larger than the current structure. At present, the museum covers around 250 square meters, including access to the historic gallery.
The extension will add approximately 400 additional square meters. Around 120 square meters will be dedicated to new exhibition areas, and a café of about 80 square meters is planned between the existing and the new building.
Storage space will also be created in the basement to allow greater flexibility for future exhibitions.
